We are committed to achieving net-zero climate impact by 2026. As a critical milestone on that journey, we have set science-based targets that have been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative in line with a 1.5-degree pathway. Achieving these commitments and lowering our firm’s carbon footprint requires taking a multi-pronged approach across all scopes.
We are committed to decarbonizing our firm-owned vehicles by making electric vehicles (EV) the new default for lease renewals and offering alternative mobility packages. In December 2021, our leadership team introduced an EV-only policy; from 2022 onward, we will only offer electric and hybrid vehicles as company vehicles.
Travel is the biggest component of our emissions, accounting for 83 percent of our 2021 footprint. As a result, we are fully embracing hybrid-working environments. Teams across the globe are implementing alternative working models that are not only more environmentally sustainable, but also more inclusive, productive both for colleagues and clients.
